I was impressed, especially with the subject matter being discussed in the book is not an easy one to broach. I loved how the author tackles it well while weaving mystery and intrigue together. I really found myself caught up and in my feelings. Wow!! Great book!
This book was something I was not ready for. Starting out it hit like a wave with serious twists happening to the main characters. Kinda of like Game of Thrones things didn’t stay comfortable it was cool.
Strong!!! The main character and the seriousness the author approaches his struggles with his family is real. I think it speaks to many blended, different or dysfunctional families and coping with issues amidst overpowering circumstances.
A friend referred this book to me and I didn’t know what to expect from an author I didn’t know but I was . I am so glad I gave this a go because this was a story that didn’t waste anytime and had me invested in the characters from the start. It’s theme was important and resonated the most with me it really hit home. Looking forward to the next book.
This book made me surprised, curious, angry, sad, impatient, anxious, sad again then finally hopeful. There were so many emotions I was feeling while reading I had to take a break and get myself together. I so loved the emotional roller coaster I was put through. Now the only problem is I have to wait until the next book.
